FL Studio 12 Review

So.. Last Saturday, I was asked to do a presentation about FL Studio 12. The show went good (at least that's the information i got lol ) and I was happy to do that since FL Studio was my first DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Then suddenly I got an idea to re-share my review in video format but because i don't have proper tools so i decided to write down in here.. in my blog. So without a further introduction, here are 6 features that i like so far.

Amazing Vector User Interface

Since the new user interface is vector based so now FL Studio is able to run in 4K resolution. And if you have a screen that has 8K resolution, don't worry FL Studio will runs without a problem. Because it supports up to 8K resolution.

Multiple Drag and Drop
Now you can drag and drop multiple audio files at once! It's good since it will save up your time. How?
Well.. Imagine if you have 60 audio files that needs to mix. What You only need to do are select them, drag and drop them into playlist which you can't do that in older version of FL Studio. You have to drag and drop the file ONE BY ONE.

Ghost Editing In Piano Roll

Yes, In FL Studio 12 you can edit 2 or more instrument's midi at once as long as they are in 1 channel rack (the new name for sequencer). You see that grey notes? Yes, you're right. Those are the midis I'm talking about. So you just click the MIDI and move it to somewhere else.

Multi-touch, Grouping, and Docking In New Mixer

Now we can use more than 1 finger to control volume faders, we can group channels and create submix which we can dock it to 3 positions, Left (next to Master Channel), Mid (In the middle Track), and Right (before send channel). Again, it will make you work faster.

Gain Some Features That You Wouldn't Get Before.

Yes, that's right! You will get extra bonus. For instance, if you buy Fruity Edition you will get automation feature. If you buy producer edition, you will get Sytrus. Those are the things you didn't and wouldn't get before.

Free Lifetime Update!

Though it's not new, but i think it still the best! Do you know any DAW that will give you a free lifetime update? Sure it saves more than thousand bucks of your money!

Well.. those 6 are the features i like so far. You can read the rest at its manual, just press F1. Thanks for reading, and see yaa..

Introduction - Welcome To My New Blog!

It was around 4 years ago I started to blogging. i started with Japanese theme - Japanese Media which went pretty good back then. But due to losing my motivation to write, i didn't update that blog for too long so that blog seems abandoned now. But here i am now, after thinking for few weeks i decided to make a new blog about many things. From audio related to my journey in life. So in other words, sometimes you would find a post about audio, composing stuff, or my experiences in audio or music production but in other day you may find a post about me travelling to somewhere. Instead of separating them as two different blogs i prefer to mix them up. I prefer this way because it makes easier to control.

I'm Rahthino Giovanni, some call me Koro, some call me Gio, and sometimes i'm also using Kayoubi as an alias. I'm originally and born in Jakarta, Indonesia (Yes, that Bali you know is in Indonesia too :) ), had a little chance to grew up in Kitami-Shi, Hokkaido, Japan. But don't expect me to speak Japanese/Nihongo because I was 4 years old that time. And yes, that's where i got my alias. Though technically that's not my real name, but that's what people call me when i was a kid. I graduated from SSR - one of the best audio engineering school from Manchester, UK, and currently working as freelance composer and sound engineer. It has been 4 years since i jumped into this Industry. I'm not sure that 4 years is short or long in professional point of view but the thing is i'm learner and still learning. That's become one of few reasons i decided to make this blog. You can say that, half of this blog will be my log in audio production experiments.

I'm using English instead of my native language, Bahasa Indonesia, obviously to get noticed by (senpai lol ) not only my own country but the whole world too. So if you find any grammatical error (and by somehow you are a grammar nazi) feel free to correct me. As i told you earlier, English is my second language, so please spare me! (Oh, at least, i am bilingual, aren't i? lol ).

I assume you read it because... either you get it from my facebook, or redirected from my Portfolio website or accidentally dumped here by some reasons (conratz anyways! :p ). I would say.. Welcome and thanks for wasting your worthy time to visit! Just enjoy the show. :)
